Kati and Henning Vander Hoeven
Kati Vander Hoeven was on her way to become a global supermodel when a devastating brainstem stroke hit her at the age of 21. She has been left in locked in syndrome since then.
More than 20 years later, Kati and her husband Henning built a beautiful life together. They are public speakers advocating for stroke survivors and improvements in stroke care. They present at TED talks and speak at the major stroke conferences.
